Sud-Est

For many city dwellers, the Southeast is synonymous with vacation: “The weather is always nice, and there are no unpleasant surprises.” For winemakers, of course, it’s a sun-drenched region that must be mastered. From the Alpilles to the Nice region, you’ll indeed find all three wine colors: white, rosé, and red. That said, 90% of production is devoted to rosé. This is what makes our Southeast so well-known.

But let’s not stop there. One evening near Toulon, in the cool of the evening, in a wine cellar-and quite late, at that-I had the chance to taste some reds that really won me over. What’s more, the next day, I took the time to taste some whites paired with the famous southern sardines… I can still smell those aromas.
